I am second from the right!
I was honored to be on the panel of speakers at this great event at Wellington International!
Here are some notes on getting unstuck!

Whether in riding or business (or turning around your health), the neuroscience answer to being stuck;
1. If you say you're stuck, you are! What other words could you use that would have a meaning of movement?
You are the IT Director of your computer upstairs (your brain). Learn neuro linguistic programming to code your brain.
"I am in transition!" And then we elevate it again to "One millimeter away from a breakthrough!" Even if we don't believe it at first.
2. Values/Leverage; know your why!
Most clients come to me with the wrong reasons and therefore, they don't have the ultimate drive that is generated from the most powerful motivation.
3. Rules to stay the course. While motivation is powerful, there are many times when even that isn't enough.
The solution is to make a decision AND commitment to stay the course and to keep putting one foot in front of the other, one stride at a time!
4. Close the exit ramps of excuses. Learn how to condition your brain to stay focused on the mission/outcome.
There is a difference between acknowledging and solving a problem and spinning around in the mud of the problem.
Exit ramps are fear based behaviors such as avoidance, procrastination, excuses, and allowing ourselves to get distracted.
5. Lead with your identity and "Embrace the suck", as the Navy Seals say! Channel your inner pride of being a peak performance rockstar who is the master of adversity that does not focus on complaining about it.
If you tell yourself something is hard or painful, then it will be more so! Your brain doesn't know what the truth is. Tell it a different story!
A great example is firewalking; don't look down at the hot coals or tell yourself how hot it is.
6. Flexible and adjustable: commit to adjustments in the original plan; learn to zig and zag. New products, markets, partners, or a complete rebrand.
Stuck people are usually NOT seeing many more potential solutions.
Or they are fearful about moving forward into doing THE EXACT action that will get them unstuck!
7. Timing is everything; learn how to do a pattern interrupt on yourself BEFORE you get sucked into the quick sand of old bad habits.
