If you haven't seen my social media posts lately, you may have missed the CONTINUED success of my former mental skills coaching client, Grand Prix rider and trainer, Nico Gamboa.
What can be learned about his journey is what he is proving in the show ring;
That we don't have to become victims of limiting beliefs and a lack of credible evidence in order to achieve success.
I remember when he first started winning the Grand Prix with his new job as a trainer for a big name sales barn.
Before each new show and grand prix, the news articles and reporters were always saying "Nico is on a roll."
And I remember the first time I saw that, I sent him a caution note saying, "Don't buy into that "on a roll" crap. This is not temporary. This is not the "lucky" lotto!
THIS is who you are now! And winning consistently is what you do!
Your new reality is a winning career being generated from having become an empowered, winning identity ... an Equestrian Rockstar!
That new identity includes winning beliefs, winning self-talk, winning leverage, winning emotional strength, winning discipline, winning rituals, and winning behaviors of consistent hard work!
(Not to mention, being able to consistently win the fight against our inner "Chef de saboteur".)
Understand ... sometimes we do get "lucky", and we have a few wins even though we are showing up and riding from our Old Identities.
Hey, it can happen (although usually it doesn't). You know, maybe your top competitor had a "bad day".
But the difference with my Equestrian Rockstars, and why they have more success more CONSISTENTLY ...
Is because they flat out REFUSE to do limiting beliefs about themselves and or their horses; even if they are trainers who are working with moving horses up and getting them to do new heights and wins for the first time!
Because success, in ANYTHING, IS ALL ABOUT BELIEF!
Belief that you can generate the horse and results you want! That you can manifest your desired destiny.
And being able to believe all that even if there is no credible evidence (past proof that you and/or your horse can win a particular class at a particular event!)
It is a decision to choose to believe in ourselves, even when we don't 100 percent. And then, a skill we need to learn and practice.
It is a decision to choose to believe in our horses, even if we don't (and shouldn't 100 percent!)
And it is a decision to loosen up the reins, move into uncertainty, and to believe in me and my program.
Because at the end of the day ...
You can move around the world to work under the best horse trainers in the industry.
And spend the money or be given the horses with the most potential ... and maybe even already well trained.
But if you are not an empowered leader who knows how to do the mental skill of conditioning yourself for being in belief and manifesting the results you want in advance of generating your success ... which HAS to include fixing the issues that are tripping you up ...
It will NOT happen.
Nico could have chosen to believe that it was not possible to win the $25,000 Grand Prix three years in a row at Pin Oak ... much less to then ALSO win the $50,000 Grand Prix later that week, AGAIN, (and did I mention his other mount placed 2nd with as well during that Grand Prix?)
But Nico has learned how not to "go there" with limiting beliefs.
He chose to believe that not only could IT (the record) be done, but that HE was going to be the one to prove it could, and HE was DETERMINED to generate that exact outcome!
Many people may have believed it couldn't be done. And even if it maybe COULD be done, certainly not by a rider of his young age!
But Nico knows how to not get sucked in with issues of being a young age or news reporters labeling his success a "winning streak," because he doesn't "hope" and "try" to win!
He shows up and leads from his Equestrian Rockstar identity! He is a MAN ON A MISSION!
HE generates his results from a ROCK SOID FOUNDATION of mental and physical skills and hard, consistent training in both!
He doesn't do the "good-luck" plan! He is determined to generate success with HIS well thought out, strategic plan.
And my ultimate plans for all my Equestrian Rockstars are always big and bold! Just like the Grand Prix courses he jumps!
In the beginning, you may not believe in you, or me, but I HAVE MORE THAN EOUGH BELIEF IN BOTH YOU AND MY PROGRAM.
Of course, I have tons of credible evidence that my program works, so you just need to borrow MY BELIEF IN YOU and my belief in myself, to have the same results as the rest of my clients in the beginning.
PROVE THEM WRONG, RIDERS!
PROVE YOUR OLD, SELF-SABOTAGING IDENTITY WRONG!
It is truly magical what can happen when we learn how to drop our limiting beliefs and learn to believe ... even if we don't 100 percent in the beginning! Even when we start from flat out disbelief.
Decide to believe!
And then make a decision to learn how to step outside your comfort zone to raise your risk tolerance ... and to show up and do it anyway! THAT is what my Equestrian Rockstars have conditioned themselves to do!
